September 11th is Patriot Day and the 25th anniversary of the terrorist attacks.
At this time, none of the District 53 communities have announced any events, so I am inviting the “Elizabeth Bauer for House District 53” campaign team and anyone else who wants to join, to attend a simple commemoration event to remember the victims and to honor the heroes.
Where: the Arlington Heights clocktower, by the “first responders” statues, in the triangle bordered by Evergreen Ave, Northwest Highway, and the tracks.
When: 7:30 AM.
What: we’ll share memories, sing traditional patriotic songs, and light candles. This will not be a “campaign” event per se, so all are invited regardless of party affiliation.
